What is IELTS?
International English Language Testing System is the preferred English language test for Australia and the UK institutions although many would also accept TOEFL test.

Do I need to take IELTS before I apply?
When you apply for an institution, you do NOT in most cases need to have an IELTS score, however, you will have to meet the English requirements before you receive the unconditional offer letter.

What score will I need to enter university or high school?
Institutions have different IELTS score requirements depending on their department. For most undergraduate and postgraduate courses you will need to have IELTs score between IELTS 6 to 7.5. For foundation/access courses and high schools will be IELTs 4.5 to 5.5.

Where and when can I take the IELTS test?
You can take this test in your home country by contacting the British Council. There are many test centres around the world and below is the list of the testing centres.
